Library Assistant 1 - Moneta/Smith Mountain Lake Library

The Bedford Public Library System is seeking a public service oriented individual to work in the Moneta Library. Duties include a full range of automated circulation desk procedures, assisting patrons with materials selection, use of the catalog, and responding to reference questions. Past experience preferred, high school diploma required.  Part-time, approximately 13 hours per week, mostly evening and Saturday  hours.  Starting pay is $9.25 per hour.  Applications are available at any Bedford Public Library or online.  Position open until filled. Library Assistant 1 - Bedford Central Library

The Bedford Public Library System is seeking a public service oriented individual to work in the Central Library; computer skills required. Major duties include a full range of automated circulation desk procedures, assisting patrons with materials selection, use of the catalog and responding to reference questions.  Part-time, 18 hours per week, including most Thursday evening hours and most Saturdays.  Starting pay is $9.25 per hour.  Applications are available at any Bedford Public Library or online.  Position open until filled. Library Page - Bedford Central Library

Bedford Public Library System is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented person to perform clerical duties, primarily shelving books. 15 to 18 hours per week at the Central Library in Bedford, evenings and weekends required. Library Page - Forest Library

Bedford Public Library System is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented person to perform clerical duties, primarily checking in and shelving books, 12 – 14  hours per week at the Forest Library. Evenings and weekends required.  Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and be able to bend and stoop.  Basic computer skills are necessary.
