Bedford Public Library Policy
I. POLICY
The Bedford Public Library System does not permit petitions or petition signing in its facilities. Petitions or petition signing are permitted on library grounds, provided such activity does not interfere with pedestrian access to the building or vehicular access to the grounds.
II. APPLICABILITY
All Bedford Public Library System locations
III. OBJECTIVE
- To provide for a quiet atmosphere conducive to study
- To support the library’s position of presenting all perspectives of an issue
IV. PROCEDURES
Petitioning activity must be conducted in a reasonable location, as determined by the library manager.
