If you would like to donate new or used materials (books, dvds, cds, etc.), you may drop them off at the Big Island Library.
Books for Babies
This program provides funds for the purchase of children’s books in honor of newborn babies. To request a book in honor of a newborn, simply ask a librarian for a Books for Babies brochure, fill in the information, and return it to the library.
Summer Reading Program
Each year the Friends of the Big Island Library contribute a significant portion of the budget for programs and prizes for the Summer Reading Program. This vital program encourages students to continue reading and learning during the summer months, making the return to school easier in the fall.
Adult Programs
The Friends also contribute financial support for adult programs like Riddle on the Harp, Book Club, and other entertaining and educational programming!
